Here’s a quick guide based on common questions we’ve received about the 10361 Power Function Kit (10361-PF) — so you can get your holiday train running perfectly!


⚡ Quick Self-Check

Before reaching out for help, take a moment to check:

  • Did you follow the correct instruction link (and can it open)?
  • Does the receiver light blink when selecting channels?
  • Do the wheels spin freely when the train is lifted?
  • Are all cables and ports firmly connected?
  • Are the wheels and tracks properly aligned?
  • Is the battery fully charged?

If everything looks fine but it still doesn’t move — record a short video and share it with our support team for a quick diagnosis.


1️⃣ Compatibility

Q: I ordered the LEGO 10361 Holiday Express Train kit but received a set labeled “10361-PF / 10254.” Did I get the wrong one?
A: Nope — you’re all good! The 10254 and 10361 trains share the same power system and connection logic. If your set shows “10361-PF” (or even “10254”), it’s fully compatible with LEGO 10361. Need the installation guide? Contact us and we’ll send you the correct link.


2️⃣ Installation & Instructions

Q: Where can I find the instructions for 10361 / 10254?
A: You’ll find the latest version through the QR code included with your kit. If the link doesn’t open or you didn’t receive one, just reach out to us by Email or WhatsApp, and we’ll resend it right away.

Tips:

  • Watch the receiver light — it shows if your remote and receiver are correctly linked.
  • Turn the remote knobs slowly; a small delay between signal and movement is normal.
  • A faint “buzzing” sound at startup is totally fine — it’s just the motor initializing.

3️⃣ Power On but Not Moving

Q: The lights are on, the remote connects, but the train won’t move. What should I do?
A: Try these quick checks:

  1. Lift the front engine car so the wheels are off the track — do they spin when you use the remote?
  2. Slowly adjust both knobs; only one will control your connected motor.
  3. Make sure all cables are in the right ports and fully plugged in.
  4. Check if any gears or wheels are jammed.

If the wheels spin in the air but not on the track:

  • Make sure all wheels are correctly seated on the rails — even a small misalignment can add friction.
  • Replace or recharge the AAA batteries if power seems weak.

4️⃣ Remote Control & Operation

Q: How should I use the remote properly?
A: You only need one control knob for your train’s channel. Turn it gently to avoid signal errors. The receiver’s blinking light shows whether the connection is active, and which channel you’re using. Because signals are transmitted through the receiver, a small delay is normal. If you hear a faint hum after turning on power — that’s just the system syncing up.
