The remote control works up to 10 m and can operate several lights at once.
Koenigsegg's badge is a ghost. Their party trick is called Ghost Mode. So when LEGO shipped the biggest Technic flagship ever built — 4,104 pieces of Swedish megacar, the sixth car in the Ultimate Car Concept series — we figured the lighting should honor the theme. This kit is built around one idea: give the ghost something to glow with.
Quick context if you're new to the car. The real Sadair's Spear is limited to just 30 units worldwide, pushes north of 1,600 horsepower on the right fuel, and is named after the racehorse owned by Christian von Koenigsegg's father — a horse that won its final race back in 1976. LEGO's 1:8 version packs a working V8, a functional 9-speed gearbox, Triplex suspension front and rear, real steering, and that Ghost Mode mechanism where lifting the rear clam swings the doors, hood, and mirrors open in one motion. It's an absurdly mechanical model. Which is exactly why it deserves better than sitting invisible on a shelf after dark.
The ZENE Bricks light kit is made for easy post-build setup. You do not need to take the whole model apart. Just follow the PDF: find the LED spots. Pop out a few bricks, tuck the wires inside, and use the pre-applied adhesive pads to stick the lights. Run the wires along the seams, and you are good to go in minutes.
Start at the front: crisp white headlights that actually throw beams in a dark room, the way a megacar's should. Follow the red LED strips as they trace the hood contours, run along the roofline, pick out the aerodynamic louvers, and land on that huge rear wing. We didn't scatter lights around the body — we followed the lines Koenigsegg's designers drew, so the glow reads as bodywork, not decoration.
Round the back, red taillights finish the stance. And underneath, a blue neon underglow spills out across your shelf. Yes, it's a bit street-racer. On a car this aggressive, that's a feature, not a bug — the blue wash makes the dark grey panels and gold accents stand out instead of melting into the shadows.
Here's our favorite bit. Lift the rear clam, watch the doors and hood sweep open — and inside the engine bay, the Koenigsegg ghost emblem is waiting for you, lit in red. The printed Sadair's Spear script gets its own dedicated light too. These are the details most people never see on an unlit model, and they're the ones that carry the car's whole story: the family badge, the racehorse's name. Now they're the first thing anyone notices when the car opens up.
Fair warning if you've ever fought with generic LED strips: this isn't that. The kit uses ultra-thin twisted-pair cables that slide between brick gaps without stressing your pieces, and the routing was planned around this specific model's mechanics. Your 9-speed gearbox still shifts. The steering still steers. Ghost Mode still does its one-motion sweep. Nothing gets glued, pinched, or blocked.
Power is your choice — a hidden battery box if you move the car around, or straight USB if it lives permanently on a desk or in a display cabinet.
You just finished (or just ordered — the set only hit shelves 2026 July) a 23-inch, 4,104-piece engineering flex. In daylight it's spectacular. At night it's a dark grey shape. This kit is the difference between "there's a big LEGO car over there" and someone crossing the room to lift the clam and find a glowing ghost inside.
