Installation

The ZENE Bricks light kit is made for easy post-build setup. You do not need to take the whole model apart. Just follow the PDF: find the LED spots. Pop out a few bricks, tuck the wires inside, and use the pre-applied adhesive pads to stick the lights. Run the wires along the seams, and you are good to go in minutes.

The backboard finally does its job

The "Mission Space" backboard is the face of this set, and it gets the treatment it deserves. Cyan lighting runs across the space-themed sign while the white arch details get their own clean glow — and crucially, none of it covers the brick-built lettering. You can still see it's LEGO. It just looks like LEGO plugged into the wall of a 1980s arcade.

A playfield that actually plays along

This is where the kit gets clever. Green dome lights sit on the posts and corners, doing that classic arcade beacon thing. Scattered between them, tiny warm white, yellow, orange, red, and blue LEDs mimic what you'd see on a real table — lit scoring lanes, active targets, mission indicators. It's not one big flood of light. It's lots of small points, which is exactly how actual pinball machines work.

And the translucent green ramp? There's a long light bar running inside it, turning the ramp into the brightest feature on the table while the clear elements and the mechanics underneath stay fully visible. Since this set has real play features — you built the thing to flip, after all — being able to see the mechanism at night isn't a bonus. It's the point.

The purple stripe you didn't know you needed

One more touch worth calling out: a purple edge strip traces the machine's outline. Sounds minor, looks anything but. This set is a chunky piece of furniture — over 9.5 inches high, 15 long, 11 wide — and on a dark shelf, all those black plates and transparent pieces can melt into one shape. The purple edge draws the silhouette back out, so the machine keeps its full tabletop presence instead of shrinking into the shadows.

Why bother?

Because this set already nails three things: the nostalgia, the engineering, and the Classic Space charm. What it's missing after sunset is the arcade mood — that slightly chaotic, come-play-me glow every real pinball table has. The kit adds exactly that and nothing else. No changes to the shape, the story, or the mechanism. Your build stays your build.
