The car looks and runs great but the metal axels would not go into the UV joints and was missing 3 pieces, I told them about it and they were gonna ship replacement but so far it's not happend, no tracking number or anything, I've literally had enough time to wait a week, and order the parts from a 3rd party source in china so now that I have a functional car I can give an honest review:
Overall I like it, it's fast, like unreasonably fast, you wouldn't think a Lego car this big could go this fast, it's easy to control but if it gets sideways it's probably gonna sling the tires off the rims, I like how the spoiler and the doors work too, if you get it, your gonna be using parts out of different bags out of order so be prepared to have several bags open at once, some of the parts were not exactly as pictured and didn't fit the way the installation said they would, like the on/off switch, I ended up hot gluing it to a lego piece and attaching it on the rear hatch, I also added some pieces to hold the doors closed, they like to vibrate around if the asphalts is not perfectly smooth. If you get the light kit thinking it's gonna be controlled by the controller that operates the rest of the car, your gonna be disappointed, it has its own remote that resembles those cheap one you get with lowes Christmas ornaments, I haven't decided if I'm actually gonna put the lights on it yet so I can't give a fair review of them.
I like the kit but I knocked a couple stars off for missing parts and no replacements being sent out after they said they would.

Regarding lighting kit, using different remote controls because the voltage is also different, but we will further optimize them in the future and strive to integrate them. First you have to dismount almost the hole car.
Then you have to build it according the pdf description.
In my delivery the gray servo motor was missing, and the voltage display was not possible to connect to the battery.
I took contact to the service support and they promised to deliver the gray missing servo and a voltage display with an enlarged plug opening, which allows the connection to the battery cable.
So, I‘m happy that the service support could help me.
Now I am eagerly waiting for the delivery, then I can finish the buildung of my McLaren model.

Just completed the McLaren P1 High Performance RC build and it was just as advertised! The spoiler and doors open very smoothly. I added the Briksmax light kit and this looks amazing traveling at night. I have built the Ferrari Daytona and F1 High Performance RC models as well and I highly recommend all three.
