The remote control works up to 10 m and can operate several lights at once.

A cub on a rock, under a warm light

A warm key comes from one side and a cooler fill from the other, so the cub reads with volume instead of being flattened by a single overhead bulb. A soft underglow beneath the base lifts the figure off the shelf, which matters at this size because the paws and the underside are otherwise lost against the surface. The two sources balance against each other on independent circuits, so the Disney Young Simba sets can be warmed up or cooled down depending on the room it sits in.

The Lion King, in 1994, became the highest-grossing hand-drawn animated film ever made, a record that has not been taken from it since. Disney's most successful stage musical came from the same material, and the studio marked the film's thirtieth anniversary in 2024. LEGO contribution was 43247: a buildable figure of Simba as a cub rather than a scene from the film, at 1,445 pieces and aimed at adult builders who display rather than play.

1,445 pieces go into one figure: Simba as a cub, sitting on a rock. The head, ears and tail of Disney Young Simba 43247 are separate parts set at an angle, the mane and body are shaped from curved slopes rather than left studded, the paws rest on the rock, and the model is wider than it is tall.

There is nothing to open and nothing inside, so the light is placed to graze the surface: a low source at the base keeps the shape readable and stops the figure from flattening. It ranks among the larger lego disney characters, and it fits on a low shelf beside the lego disney sets around it. The base is small, so it is the one disney building kit in the Lion King range that fits a narrow shelf.

LEGO Simba in Disney's animated series The Lion King is a deeply ingrained character When the Kingdom of Glory suffered, Simba, encouraged by his childhood friend Nana and enlightened by the wise baboon, regained his confidence and inner spirit, and decided to return home to save the kingdom. ZENE Bricks uses lighting to illuminate the path of becoming king and bring your Simba to life.
