The line is delivered in the shack on the rock, not in the hut, but it belongs to Hagrid and to the letter he is holding when he says it. After that night, the hut becomes the place where Hagrid teaches: tea, rock cakes, a dragon egg, and advice that is usually well meant and occasionally illegal.

Hagrid's hut sits at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, which is exactly where the school puts the person it trusts with its most dangerous secrets. It is a single round room with a bed, a table, a fire and a dog, and almost every important conversation in the first three books happens in it over tea. The pumpkin patch outside is not decoration: Hagrid grows them for the Halloween feast, and the films used the size of the pumpkins to establish that everything in his care is slightly too big.

The 896-piece build is the hut with a removable roof, a detailed interior, the pumpkin patch and Fang's kennel. Inside there is the table, the kettle, the bed, the crossbow over the door and the sort of clutter that a half-giant accumulates over fifty years. The set also includes the dragon egg and the cast of the visit, so the scene can be set as a conversation rather than a building.

Fire leads. ZENE Bricks' fire-led lighting makes the hearth the brightest thing in the model; the table lamp is dim, the window cold and mostly dark, and the pumpkin patch borrows spill from the hut rather than carrying its own lights. With the roof on, everything but the fire falls into shadow. It becomes the warmest corner of a castle display, and the nostalgia is doing as much work as the fire.

Cable follows the chimney breast and leaves under the base, so the roof still lifts off. A lego light kit for 76428 is as much about the pumpkin patch as the interior, and the lego lights spilling across the pumpkins are what make the hut feel occupied.
